Guest Profiles
Chiara Cimmino is an actress and acting teacher. Her focus is helping those she works with to find their own way as actors. She graduated from the Milan School of Dramatic Arts “Paolo Grassi” in 2007. She won the Award for Best Supporting Actress at the theater Palio of Chiavari (Italy, 2005) and the “Plautus Theater Award” for Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Italy, 2017). She acted in King Ubu, directed by L. Facchinelli, that was awarded in international theater festival Fantasio Piccoli 2007; she played the lead role of N. Gharbi's movie Ricochet-Rimbalzello, that won the Special Jury Prize at the 2014 Maazzeni Film Festival (Italy). Acting credits include: theaters (The seagull, Goldoni’s The fan, Ostrovsky’s The storm, Marivaux’s Harlequin educated by love, The play that goes wrong), films, television, web-series, and commercials.
She founded the Italian theater company Teatro del Disìo in 2011 and in 2016 she co-founded the Montreal-based International School of Italian Theatre “Giovanni Grasso” for North American students of acting and lyrical singing.
Ana Moioli is a Brazilian actress and playwright in New York. Ana started acting at nine and later went to Russia, at the Moscow Art Theatre School. She is currently completing her BFA in Drama at NYU Tisch. Favorite theater credits include 'Harper Regan' (dir. Nina Fry), 'The Seagull' (dir. Vera Kharybina), 'A Streetcar Named Desire' (dir. Pedro Granato) and 'Birds of a Feather' (dir. Lauren Grajewski) – for the latter, she got a Best Actress nomination at Between Us Productions’ Take Ten Play Festival. She's also starred in short films, such as 'Elsewhere' (dir. Guilherme Pedra), for which she received the Best Actress Award at the American Student Film Festival, as well as 'How to Water Roses' (dir. Mirella Cardoso) and 'Julieta' (dir. Vicente Gonzalez). She recently debuted as a filmmaker with the film Bridge. She is Founding Artistic Director of Et Alia Theater Company based in NYC.
